You are Wizards GOHOs

Today we ventured to the Warner Brothers Studio - Harry Potter.  We caught the bus from Victoria Station and had to be there for 8am.  So that meant an early wake up of 0600 (yikes) far too early when on holidays (just)!  We arrived on time even after a little mishap navigating which platform etc.  But we got there in the end.  We had a VERY chatty bus driver named Dave that gave us a little history of London and had some cool tunes for our hour commute.

As being the first group into the studio it was a lot quieter than when we left so would recommend for people to do the same if you're not a fan of crowds.  The making of Harry Potter films was mostly done at these studios for over 10 years.  It was amazing how so many people were involved in the making and the enormous amount of work they put into it, to be the success is it today.  The studio tour is a real testament after all these years how popular the books/films have stood the test of time.

We of course had to try the ButterBeer because why not?!  It was very sweet (as expected) and tasted like butterscotch crossed with creaming soda.  However, we didn't realise you could keep the mug it came in so we ended up finding someone else's empty one, washing it and taking it home.

We're both not diehard Potter fans but do enjoy the films, and it was lovely to be submersed in the magic that is Harry Potter and how the creative teams were able to bring all the 'magic' to life.  The photos don't do it justice.  It was a very fun and interactive tour.  Not cheap but worthwhile.

We arrived back into Victoria Station after 3pm and from here we made our way to Leicester Square to see if we could get any cheap tickets for the theatre that night.  We really wanted to see Hamilton but no cheaper tickets available due to its popularity and ticket demand.  But we sucked it up and paid for full price tickets and boy were they worth it.  It's a great modern twist on an 'old' story about one of America's founding fathers Alexander Hamilton.  The music was very modern and very enjoyable.  Again can highly recommend.

Between our purchase of tickets and the actual seeing of the musical, Carrie did a little more shopping.  We walked down Carnaby Street and Carrie slipped (staying upright this time) through the doors of Liberty to purchase a shiny new handbag. We had some dinner, and then both needed to purchase a slim line chargers

for our phones due to be being snap happy at Warner Bros. and then headed to Buckingham Palace (both of us this time) and checked to see if Charlie was in again. Can you believe it? Two times past there and no invite in. We then headed from Buckingham Palace to the theatre to see our show.

After an early start and a late finish we were both knackered.  We staggered to the nearest tube stop and hopped on board our Circle Line chariot to take us home.  On the way from the theatre to the tube stop we saw a lady go arse up on a banana peel, she even got air time.  It was like watching Mario Kart. She was ok but I think she will be sore for a few days to come.
